Hello TRIKKE™
Fans,
This
weeks ride is at Ft. Desoto Park. I've had several people ask about
riding this trail. It looks like a fairly short ride but I think it'll be
scenic and enjoyable. I've never ridden this trail but I hear it's really
nice. Below are links of the trail and a map of how to get there.
Trail Facts:
The 6.8
mile recreation trail was completed in November 2001. The 12-foot-wide asphalt
trail connects the campground with the North and East Beach Swim Centers and the
historic fort.
Where to Meet: We'll meet at the parking lot nearest to the long fishing pier. I'll have
my TRIKKE Tampa 12' trailer (see picture) so you should be able to spot me
fairly easy. Please have my phone number with you in case you need to call
or can't find us. Jana and I will be there about 12:45pm. If you're
having any troubles riding and want me to work with you or if you're having a
problem with your TRIKKE I can look at it and try to fix it before we ride.
If you
plan to ride please send me an email
with your name and phone number letting me know. Having this list will
help ensure everyone is accounted for before the ride begins. It also
helps us to notify everyone of any last minute changes that might occur.
Don't forget to take my phone number with you in case something comes up so you
can give us a call and let us know. We don't want to
leave anyone behind. If the weather looks questionable and you aren't sure
if we'll ride or not please feel free to give me a call to check. You can
also check the website for any updates.
Regardless of your TRIKKE riding ability NOBODY gets left behind. We have
riders at every level. The more experienced riders may ride on while the
novice may bring up the rear. I have riders that don't think they're good
enough, but please don't worry about that. How will you get better if you
don't get out and give it try? NOBODY gets left behind! If you need
more help riding then we can give you more instruction but you won't be
abandoned.
